River Island · Zambia

Livingstone Island

Breakfast, lunch or high tea served on the island at the very lip of the Falls — where David Livingstone himself first viewed Victoria Falls in 1855.

Overview

A meal, right on the edge

Livingstone Island sits on the Zambian side, right at the point where the Zambezi tips over into the gorge. Access depends on the river level, which is why this experience has both a Green Season and High Season rate — ask us which applies to your travel dates and we'll confirm availability before booking. All options include boat transfer to the island and time to take in the closest possible view of the Falls.

Seasonal & availability notes

Access to the island closes entirely during the highest water months when it's unsafe to cross — we'll always confirm current availability before you book rather than promise a date that might not run. This is a Zambia-side experience, so bring your passport and check whether you need a visa for your nationality.
