Overview

See the Falls the way a local would show you

Victoria Falls, known locally as Mosi-oa-Tunya ("The Smoke That Thunders"), is one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World. This guided walk takes you along the rainforest trail on the Zimbabwean side, past a series of viewpoints — Devil's Cathract, the Main Falls, Horseshoe Falls and the dramatic Danger Point — with your guide sharing the geology, history and folklore behind each one.

In the high-water season (roughly February to August) expect heavy spray and rainbows; in the low-water season (September to January) the rock face and gorge are more clearly visible, which is better for photography. Either way, this is the single best introduction to Victoria Falls and usually the first activity we book for new guests.

Good To Know

Before you go

Wear closed shoes with grip — the paths get wet and can be slippery. In high-water season, bring a dry bag or waterproof phone case; the spray reaches most viewpoints. This tour pairs well with the Vic Falls Classic combo (Falls Tour + Lunch at Lookout Café) if you'd like to make a half-day of it.
