Grade 5 rapids on the Zambezi below the Falls — one of the world's best-known one-day rafting runs.
The Zambezi below Victoria Falls is one of the most famous stretches of commercially rafted white water anywhere, running through the Batoka Gorge with a run of rapids rated up to Grade 5. This is a full-day activity with safety briefing, gear, and an experienced river guide steering each raft.
Seasonal note: rafting on the Zambezi depends on the river level and doesn't run during the highest water months. We'll always confirm current availability for your travel dates before booking rather than promise a date that might not run.
A reasonable level of swimming ability and fitness is expected — this is a physically demanding day. Bring secure water shoes or sandals and clothes you don't mind getting soaked. There's usually a minimum age requirement; tell us your group's ages and we'll confirm eligibility before you book.
Combine this with the Gorge Swing for $226 total (+$13 park fee) — the two signature Batoka Gorge adrenalin activities in one day.
